Ultrasonic welding inspection
KRATOS is a bidirectional magnetic coupling robot designed to climb and move horizontally along metallic surfaces, precisely following weld seams. Engineered for enhanced mobility around wind turbine towers, it operates autonomously while continuously tracking its position.
This robot is equipped with an Olympus PAUT system (16:128 channel configuration), performing advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using both Phased Array and Time-of-Flight Diffraction (TOFD) technologies. A certified UT expert is on-site to calibrate the system and ensure inspection integrity.
All ultrasonic data is securely stored for real-time monitoring and later review.
More cost-effective than platform based inspetions, KRATOS provides critical data that supports life-extension planning and long-term asset management.
